1. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling, booking, or receiving services from Stewart Property Inspections LLC ("Company," "Inspector," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service, the Inspection Agreement, and any additional written agreements provided.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not schedule or use inspection services.
2. Description of Services
Stewart Property Inspections provides professional residential property inspection services in accordance with:
• North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board (NCHILB) Standards of Practice
• State licensing requirements
• Industry professional standards
Services are designed to provide general information regarding the condition of a property at the time of inspection.
3. Nature of Home Inspections
All inspections performed by Stewart Property Inspections are:
✔ Visual
✔ Non-invasive
✔ Limited in scope
✔ Based on accessible areas at the time of inspection
Home inspections:
• Do NOT guarantee future property condition
• Do NOT determine code compliance
• Do NOT determine property value
• Do NOT replace evaluations by licensed specialists
• Do NOT predict life expectancy of components
4. Scheduling and Booking
Inspection appointments may be scheduled through:
• Online booking platform
• Telephone
• Email
• Realtor or authorized third party
By scheduling an inspection, the Client confirms they are legally authorized to do so.
5. Payment Terms
Full payment is required prior to release of the inspection report unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods may include:
• Credit or debit card
• Approved electronic payment services
• Other agreed payment arrangements
Failure to submit payment may delay report delivery.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an inspection appointment.
Stewart Property Inspections reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee for:
• Late cancellations
• Missed appointments
• Inaccessible properties
Cancellation policies may be modified at the Inspector’s discretion.
7. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
• Provide accurate property information
• Ensure property access at scheduled time
• Secure pets
• Notify Inspector of safety hazards
• Obtain permission from property owner when required
Failure to provide safe or accessible conditions may result in rescheduling or cancellation.
8. Inspection Report Use
Inspection reports are prepared solely for the Client who ordered the inspection.
Reports:
• Are confidential
• Are not transferable
• May not be relied upon by third parties
• May not be republished without written permission
Unauthorized distribution is prohibited.
9. Limitations of Liability
The Client agrees that:
• Stewart Property Inspections is not an insurer or guarantor
• Inspection services reduce, but do not eliminate, risk
• Liability is limited to the inspection fee paid
Stewart Property Inspections shall not be liable for:
• Hidden or concealed defects
• Future failures
• Repairs or replacement costs
• Consequential or indirect damages
10. Environmental and Specialized Testing
Unless separately agreed in writing, inspections do not include evaluation of:
• Mold
• Radon
• Asbestos
• Air or water quality
• Septic or well systems
• Pest or termite inspections
• Structural engineering analysis
Specialized inspections require separate services by licensed specialists.
11. Property Access Authorization
By scheduling an inspection, the Client confirms they have authority to allow Stewart Property Inspections to access the property for inspection purposes.
12. Technology Use
Inspection services may include use of:
• Infrared imaging equipment
• Drone observation where legally permitted
• Digital reporting software
Technology provides supplemental observation and does not guarantee complete detection of defects.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes related to inspection services shall be resolved through:

Written notice to Stewart Property Inspections

Opportunity for re-inspection

Mediation in the county where the property is located

Binding arbitration if mediation is unsuccessful
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
15. Electronic Consent
By scheduling services or signing electronically, the Client agrees:
• Electronic signatures are legally binding
• Electronic communications are acceptable forms of notice
16. Modifications to Terms
Stewart Property Inspections reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the Company website.
